Really?. . . All day? Plus "thunder". We had Thunder Snow today.
All of this left me confused, unsure of what I should do? Can't garden. Tried baking a cake and hated it. (With great shame, I must admit.) I totally blame the weather. And menopause.
My Emmaline sweater. Almost a year later, but she's coming around. I love this sweater! Easy to try on as you knit it--from the top down.
I had to make adjustments for my "height" and other body "unmentionables".
I used Lionbrand's Nature's Choice Organic Cotton. It's the little things in life.
Well- it is beautiful! I need to get knitting something. I haven't knitted in a month- I am having withdrawals! But moving and getting settled took over.

I love that first picture and that sweater is adorable! Thunder snow is so cool. We've only had it a few times here. I'm really looking forward to spring!
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is gorgeous! The pattern and the color are both lovely.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, those pictures of your backyard are so beautiful they almost look fake(almost). Is that a red bird in the first picture?
ReplyDeleteI LOL when I read the menopause comment because I'm feeling the same way today.
The weather has been just too much- I am ready to take a one way flight to Florida. The sweater is so pretty- it will be perfect for Spring (which should arrive around July I'm thinking).
ReplyDeleteHi Debra! Thanks so much! Ew, I hate moving--I hope you are recovered from that--my thoughts are with you! I, too, was having knitting withdrawl.
ReplyDeleteHi Vegan Flower! Thanks! I LOVED the thunder, too--but only with snow, not in rain storms. It is lovely this morning.
Hi Vegga! Thanks--I really enjoyed knitting this pattern.
Hiya veganhomemaker! Yes, it is a FAKE backyard that I get out only when I have nothing else to write about (LOL)! That bird is our most beloved red cardinal. I have about fifty of them residing here. My love for my "fake backyard" birds runs deep. I am so ready to turn sixty and be over this "life change" part of female life, it's not funny.
Hi Napur! I could not agree with you more! I laughed at your Florida comment! I think spring getting here in July will be about right. But then, as you know, we'll have "months-that-feel-like-years" of 100 plus temps then. So I try to settle my soul with days like these, build a fire and just knit.
I am SO impressed with your knitting skills! And I just can't believe all that snow. It sure does make me want to curl up with a mug of hot tea and listen to Garrison Keillor!
ReplyDeleteWOW! We had some snow, but nothing stuck to the ground. Your photos are amazing! You're smart: Stay inside and knit.
